Hello and ’tis the season of pumpkin!
I am BACK at it again in the kitchen (surprise surprise) with an actual real life recipe.
This week with some Precious Pumpkin Bread. Precious because I love pumpkin and either you love pumpkin, or you’re wrong. There really is no in-between.
Before I start, just a quick life update:
I have a very big change coming very soon and while I cannot wait to share, I have to wait for now until everyone is aware…but there is something coming 😉
Also, not only is it pumpkin season, but it is also Seasonal Depression season. Check in on loved ones and friends and coworkers, etc. that you know might be having a hard time right now. This season can be festive but it can also be overwhelming and difficult. So just be aware of others around you, take the extra time to make sure everyone is okay, and if they are not okay, just give them time and lots of love and understanding.
So actually before we begin, I did not have a bread pan. I only had a twinkie pan and I have no answers for that; however, this recipe works for regular bread pans even though I made mini bread twinkie loaves.
Okay! Onto the recipe:
- I cheated and used pumpkin pie spice but here’s a breakdown if you do not have pumpkin pie spice: Cinnamon, Allspice, Ground Cloves, Nutmeg, Brown Sugar – just mix until it tastes…like pumpkin pie minus the pumpkin (your taste buds know what I’m talking about)
- Substitute greek yogurt for oil if you want an extra fluffy texture
- Add chocolate chips
- Add apples
- Add more brown sugar on top
I love pumpkin bread even though technically we are entering into apple season…I might have a recipe for that too 😉
